About Us

Director Profiles

John Deely

John is a qualified organisational psychologist specialising in the application of psychometrics to employee selection and development and the provision of career development services. He has 5 years consultancy experience and provides selection services directly to companies and recruiters. He also provides career development services to individuals who are unfulfilled by or unsure about their career direction.
John has an MSc in Organisational Psychology from City University in London and an honours degree in psychology from UCD. His research has explored the job satisfaction in the life assurance industry in Ireland and assessment of European Executives. The latter project was carried out for the London office of Personnel Decisions International.
He is a member of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI), Chartered Institute of Personnel (CIPD) and the British Psychological Society (BPS). He holds the BPS Certificate of Competence in Occupational Testing at Level B.
Prior to retraining as an organisational psychologist, he worked for seven years in the financial services industry in actuarial, business analysis and corporate sales roles. He also holds a Diploma in Financial Information Systems from Trinity.
Sophie Rowan
Sophie is a qualified organisational psychologist, with 8 years consultancy experience. She has worked in all the main areas of Human Resources consultancy and has specialist experience in Psychometrics, Redundancy programmes, Selection procedures and Career management and development. Having worked for a HR consultancy in London for 6 years, Sophie returned to Dublin and currently works on a variety of projects. Her experience covers public, private and voluntary sectors. She has also contributed to both broadcast and print media as an expert in organisational psychology.
This work includes broadcasts for BBC Radio 4, Channel 5 and ITN as well as a number of articles for the national press.
She was on-line careers expert for iCircle.co.uk, the largest service provider for women in the UK.
She completed an honours degree in Psychology at University College Dublin and her MSc in Organisational Psychology at City University in London.
She is qualified to Level B Intermediate in Psychometric testing. She is amember of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI), the British Psychological Society, and the Irish Management Institute. She is a committee member of the External Relations Panel of the PSI, which both supports and monitors coverage of psychology in the media.
